Let It Out

Water tumbles down Katoomba Cascades.

For this photo I moved up onto one of the higher shelves to try and showcase the multi-level cascade, which is where I saw these two rocks with some fallen leaves and thought it'd make for an interesting foreground with the flow of the water rushing around them.

There's something about capturing waterfalls that is so cathartic (though taking photos of pretty much anything is cathartic to me). It helps me relax and concentrate on capturing an image I'm proud of, even if the photo isn't the best one ever taken and unlikely to win any awards. Instead, it helps me grow as a photographer, and I love being able to actually see the improvement in my skills.

Because what is life if you don't continue to grow?
