The water of the lake ripples with the wind, blowing this way and that. In the distance the mountains surrounding this natural basin disappear into the light haze hanging in the sky as the town ahead slowly comes into stark focus, emerging from the mist like a jewel.Coming into Bellagio by classic speedboat has to be one of the most incredible experiences out there - and one I have not had the luck of experiencing yet!Looking at this photo, I feel the thrum of the powerful engines, pushing through the choppy water, and it evokes in me a bygone era; one of refinement, of cocktail parties and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling dripping in crystal, of jewellery on women to match. It speaks of arriving in style, one graceful hand upon the rail as you step onto the dock, before vanishing into a beautiful old building to dine and dance the night away.The details for this image are:
