A New Hope

I'm kicking myself for not using this title on Monday's post...

This is my final post from the Great Ocean Road adventure I went on last year with @louiseclarke_photography and @caseyskye so figured I'd finish on another shot of the iconic Hopetoun Falls.

For this photo, I was balancing precariously below the platform on some incredibly slippery rocks.

From this position I was very aware of the fact my camera was mere inches from the raging (well… not so raging) waters of the river below, that I was contorted into a very uncomfortable position, and the slightest unbalancing would send me (and my gear) toppling into the freezing water - which is not the sort of bath I had in mind!

Luckily that particular scenario did not come to pass, and instead I managed to capture this image from an angle I don’t think I’ve seen before (but I haven’t really looked, sooo…).

It has been really nice looking back on this trip over the last few weeks because it has reminded me of the days when you could go on incredible adventures to incredible places with incredible people.

And I can't wait for those days to return...
