Gentle Dreams

My first attempt at panning across the horizon as the sun rises behind a light blanket clouds.

⁣⁣This is another photo from the morning after I took the photo of the Milky Way over the Sydney Opera House. There was a blanket of clouds on the horizon, but they weren't enough to hide the soft golden hues of the rising sun lighting up the sky beyond. ⁣⁣

This was my first attempt at panning, and this is one of the results. I took this handheld, sweeping it across the scene.

I think the softness of the morning light helps set the mood and I really like how this turned out; dreamlike and ethereal and somehow calming despite the fact it's a scene in motion.⁣
