Give Me Tonight
Tumbling lazily
Turning and swirling
With galaxies in our eyes
And love on our lips
We ride this night
Until the stars trail away
And the soft dawn breaks
I do love star trail images. I love seeing it symbolise the passage of time in such a beautiful format.
I didn't point the camera towards the pole as I wanted to focus on the giant basalt columns and how they are seemingly immovable by time.
This is 112 images of 30 seconds each stacked together (for 56 minutes worth of exposure). I also took one final image that was used to capture some more detail in the foreground so it wasn't just a silhouette against the night sky.
The details for this image are:

Sirui W-1204 tripod with K-20x Ball Head
