Washed Away
After a lot of rain, you have to chase waterfalls. It is known. So on Sunday, after a seriously soggy few days, I braved the elements and drove north into Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park.
Here is Upper Gledhill in full flow. Normally it is sedate and calm, with a gentle fall into a beautiful pool you can swim in. Not so on Sunday. There was so much water pumping through due to the rain I didn't even try get down the rocks as I would probably have been swept away (not recommended).
Instead I parked myself up the top of the falls just in front of the bridge so I could capture the sheer volume of water rushing past, and even then water was rushing past and over me - thank goodness for a sturdy tripod and great shoes!
