Way Down We Go

I love a good top-down photo. You see so many nowadays with the proliferation of drones, and it's amazing seeing the world from that point of view. I don't have a drone, and to be honest I don't think I'll ever get one (unless someone wants to give me one of course!).

So instead I'll continue to take these sorts of shots from any sort of aerial transportation I can get into.

The sun is above the horizon now and so this experience is slowly coming to an end. The shadows of the valley stretch out in the golden light, illuminating the textures and furrows and rocky crags in all their beauty.

If you look closely, you can see a convoy of cars speeding down the road on their way to the different landing zones to bring in their charges for the morning whilst a balloon drifts over the landscape.

Details are as follows:

  • Nikon D750 and Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 G2

  • 1/2500s

  • f/5.6

  • ISO4000
