Bright Lights, City Sights
A vendor sells freshly frilled squid on the side of the road. These little stalls are scattered throughout Bangkok and they are so cheap and delicious.
Once you've had your fill of freshly-grilled squid, you should definitely follow it up with the iconic banana pancake (roti gluay) if you can find it!
This was taken handheld with the 50mm f/1.8. The nifty fifty is generally left languishing in my camera bag (sorry, Nikon), but I love it for street photography as it's small and unobtrusive - plus the fast aperture helps with low-light conditions. It also helps force me to look for compositions because it's a fixed focal length. So even though I don't really utilise it, I love it when I do. There's definitely a reason almost every photography has one in their bag.
This is the last one from my Bangkok Chinatown series.
