A Highland Cow stands in the driving sleet and rain and hail of Tasmania's Central Highlands.

While in Tassie, one of the places I absolutely had to visit was Tarraleah to see the hairy coos. I'd seen photos of them before, and couldn't resist the opportunity to drive into the stunning Central Highlands for the chance to see them for myself.  

The day was cold and brisk and when I got to Tarraleah the clouds came rolling in and the temperature dropped as sleet / hail / snow all came tumbling down.

I spent a lot of time just hanging out in the paddock with these beautiful animals snapping photos and talking to them in a terrible Scottish accent.

It was the perfect day
