Come in Closer
At the end of May last year, I went to Stockton Beach in Newcastle to capture the tank traps exposed by the tides, but only managed to get the tops of them.
Orinoco Flow
A subdued sunrise at Stockton Beach meant I had to look harder for areas of interest - so I focused on the texture of the water, the sand, and the clouds.
When the Night is Over
My first attempt at the full moon setting over the Sydney CBD started with an early morning alarm, and ended with beautiful hues layered across the sky.
Lost in the Light
On our one and only night spent in the Dark Sky Reserve that is the Warrumbungle National Park, we scrambled up a hill for this sunset view.
Baring All
With grand hopes of an epic sunset smashed as soon as I arrived at Bare Island, I changed tack to try my hand at a long exposure, and made a new friend in the process.
Straight Lines
While up in Newcastle I was struck by the design of the Merewether Ocean Baths Pavilion and how it looked under a textured, cloudy sky.
Revient le Jour
Sunrise promised to be intense, with a rich glow setting fire to the horizon well before the sun peeked over the horizon.
Roaring Sparks
Beauchamp Falls was our other waterfall location for the day, and it was at the end of a lovely walk through incredibly beautiful forest, resplendent with mountain ash, large myrtle beech, and blackwood trees.
