Crossing the Void

The Milky Way stretches across the sky beyond the Barrenjoey Lighthouse.

I love standing under the Milky Way on clear nights, gazing skywards and embracing the feeling that there is something beyond this world we inhabit; something ethereal and unknown, intangible but real.

What it could be, I don't know. It could be a higher power (or powers), or it could be more worlds and universes just like ours, filled with beings also standing under their skies, looking up, wondering if there are others out there.

There are millions upon billions of possibilities, and for all the knowledge we have, all the exploring and searching we do, there is every chance we will never truly know.

It is wonderful and daunting and amazing and humbling all at the same time.
