My Happiness

Cascade Falls in Macquarie Pass National Park flows down the cliff into a beautiful pool.

A few months ago I met up with Kal from @dreamtime_pictures to explore Macquarie Pass National Park in the search of waterfalls.

It was a beautiful morning walking through the rainforest with towering eucalypts soaring into the sky and the sounds of lyrebirds and running water echoing through the trees.

This image is from the first waterfall you came to on this track. I was originally shooting wider to try capture the entire scene, but I felt the waterfall was getting lost in the busyness.

So instead I zoomed in to focus on just the cascading water, the details in the rocks, and the amazing intricacy of the roots clinging to the cliff.

Being here, with the beauty of nature on display in all her glory and my camera to capture it, I felt such incredible happiness.

It was a truly great day out with a friend and talented photographer, and I look forward to sharing more images from this adventure.

For the big picture, check it out on my website. Link in bio.
