Standing Still
Under fading skies
And clouds of pink
Another day has come
Another day has gone
And still you stand
Forever strong
I had some time off a few weeks ago so took the opportunity to drive out to Orange to catch up with old friends of mine who were kind enough to house me for a few nights.
And seeing as I'd never been to the region before, I took the opportunity to try capture some of that classic Australian countryside in autumn (so be prepared for a lot of those photos to come).
This was taken at sunset on my second night there, and I had spent ages frantically trying to find a composition that could work. As I was zooming down The Escort Way, I spotted this ramshackle barn across the road and thought it would be perfect, so I quickly turned around and set up shop. Unfortunately I was just a touch too late to catch the best of the setting sun, but I still managed to capture the beautiful pink clouds and fading purple sky.
I also took a long exposure here, which I'll post later down the line as part of the series.
