The Valley Awakens

Here are sweeping views down into the valley. Mist blankets the fields below, golden lit by the rising sun and blanketed in the morning mist. Along the hills a sleepy town awakens, with the barest hint of light hitting the very top of the steeple of their local church.This is another view of the valley near Arcugnano in the province of Vicenza, Italy. It was our first morning here, and I woke early to peak out the giant shuttered windows and saw this valley roiling in mist. I quickly dressed and grabbed my gear, heading for the carpark which had the perfect vantage point. It was a perch I was to become very familiar with over the next few days!The details for this image are:
