This Red Land

The Australian Outback from 30,000 feet.This great red land, stretching as far as I can see,The horizon yonder distant, holds such mystery.From up here, patterns zig zag across the ground,Cutting the earth, their twists and turns astound.With rivers and gullies and tress and sand,All down there, stretching, outward fanned,This feeling begins slowly, building in my core,A deep-seated yearning to go down and explore.To feel the reddish sand shift beneath my feet,The gentle wind softly brushing off the heat,With the sun so high, beating down from above,Filling the land with boundless life and love.And at night with barely anything around,But stars twinkling like jewels been crowned,The worries of life slowly drift and fade away,As in your swag, safe and warm, you lay.This great red land, spread far below,Fills me with such a comforting glow,With the knowledge that this is my home,Forever and always, no matter where I roam.The details for this image are:
