Cross Ways

A long exposure of William St looking up to the Coke sign in Sydney's Kings Cross.

This has been a shot I've been wanting to take for a while, and working just around the corner meant I had ample opportunity to get it. This particular night I was heading out to Vivid and thought I'd sneak in this photo before exploring the city further.

I actually wish I'd brought my longer lens for this shot, so I could zoom in further down the road and compress everything together, but alas I was travelling light with just the one lens.

Even though I long for extra length, I'm actually pretty happy with this shot as it captures all the traffic from this little intersection. It was also a night of crazy rain, but during this exposure the rain held off and I was able to capture the water on the road reflected in the bright neon lights.
