Basking now in this state of grace

Wrapped in a cocoon, warm and safe

Of gentle breathing and touch so soft

Tendrils tracing, wandering, getting lost

While the light of day fades so slow

And we bathe together in this afterglow

This is one of my absolute favourite images from the Astrophotography Workshop I attended - and it isn't even of the Milky Way!

The Belt of Venus was perfectly placed behind Uluru as the last of the setting sun reflected back off the red in the rock in this amazing glow. Couple that with the Field of Light lit up in a beautiful burst of colour and it is probably a photo I feel hard pressed to beat.

It's been almost three months since I visited this incredible place, and I still take such great joy in looking back at these photos I captured and the memories I have.
