Cape of Diamonds
Tucked away south-east of Hobart lies the beautiful Tasman Peninsula, home to the Three Capes Track, Port Arthur, and Tasman Island.
I was lucky enough to win a helicopter tour over this incredible place with Osborne Heli Tours courtesy of Experience Oz, and it was simply stunning.
The tour took us over some of the most epic scenery, including some of the tallest sea cliffs in the world and the extremely remote Tasman Island with its one lighthouse jutting proudly above it all.
This photo was taken on approach straight through the front windshield as it loomed up before us. I love the texture in the rugged cliffs leading down to the waves crashing below, the ripples in the water, and how minuscule and remote the lighthouse looks standing there in the centre of this very isolated island.
