Thunder

Lightning flashes in the distances on a stormy Saturday afternoon.

Where there's lightning, there's thunder. Not that you can really see it here.

This is the only decent photo I got of lightning during that huge storm last weekend.

I did manage to capture a cracking shot of the giant shelf cloud and a bolt of lightning behind Stockton Bridge... but it was completely out of focus.

How incredibly frustrating!

No matter how many times I go out and shoot, sometimes it's the simplest things that completely mess you up. I guess it goes to show that you should never get too confident in your abilities, because you’re always still learning and making mistakes - even if they are rookie ones. Note to self: always ensure the image is in focus before taking a photo! (I can't believe I just had to say that).
